Job description
Overview

New Opportunity as a Business Support Officer within the Newry, Mourne and Down District Council.

This is a temporary role for 3 months initially. The working hours are 36 per week with an hourly rate of £14.52.

The role is based in the Planning Section, Downshire Civic Centre, Ardglass Road, Downpatrick. The main duties will involve providing high-quality administrative and business support across Council departments, ensuring efficient office systems and excellent customer service. Duties include preparing reports and correspondence, processing financial transactions, organising and minuting meetings, maintaining accurate records and data management systems, and supporting departmental projects and events. The role also involves liaising with internal teams, external agencies, and the public to deliver a professional, responsive, and customer-focused service.
