Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our not-for-profit organisation as a Business Support Officer. We are seeking a graduate or professional who is highly proactive and well-organised to support operational and administrative output.

You will provide efficient support to services dedicated to supporting adults with Learning Disabilities and/or Mental Health Diagnosis with a range of support needs. An excellent standard of verbal and written English is essential, as well as an interest in working in the not-for-profit health and social care sector.

We are looking for an individual with initiative and a can-do attitude to join our expanding North East team, providing administrative and operational support across the North East. The successful candidate will travel to support our services as needed and will have an office base in Stockton-on-Tees.

Duties Will Include (but Are Not Limited To)
  • Provide routine administrative support to our busy services
  • Conduct themed audits within services
  • Support our recruitment and retention strategies
  • Assist the management team with deployment of relief staff and monitor agency usage against KPIs
  • Undertake monitoring and checks to ensure all commissioned hours are delivered and services stay within budget
  • Develop and maintain accurate data related to client provision for correct invoicing
  • Assist in setting up new services
  • Support the management team with oversight of new starters
  • Assist with oversight of voids within properties
  • Maintain incident, Safeguarding, and CQC reporting oversight and analysis
  • Support the setup of new student placements

An approachable and warm manner, along with excellent customer care skills, is essential. The role requires attention to detail and the ability to multitask to meet deadlines. Proficiency in data entry, minute-taking, and the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook is necessary. The ability to work well independently and as part of a team is important.
