Job summary

Star Academies is seeking a dedicated business support colleague to join Oulder Hill Leadership Academy in Rochdale. You will support pupils, teachers and stakeholders with efficient, accurate administrative services and help maintain an outstanding learning environment.

You will be a committed team player with strong organisational skills, adept at using MS Office and managing databases, and capable of thriving under pressure to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

  • Experience working in an administrative setting.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and managing databases.
  • Strong prioritisation, accuracy under deadlines, and initiative.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to pupils, teachers and stakeholders.
  • Deliver efficient and accurate administrative services and documentation.
  • Develop relationships across the school and Star community.

About Oulder Hill Leadership Academy

Oulder Hill Leadership Academy is a secondary school for 11 to 16 year olds in Rochdale, which joined Star Academies in March 2022. We are a rapidly improving school with high ambitions and expectations for all our pupils, as evidenced by our most recent Ofsted inspection in January 2025, when we were graded 'Good' in all four areas of the inspection framework.

Who we’re looking for

We’re looking for a talented individual to provide an exceptional business support service to our pupils, teachers and wider stakeholders. As a key member of our school’s business support team, your expertise will help to deliver an outstanding learning environment for our young people.

The successful candidate will be a committed team player with excellent organisational and specialist technical skills. You will have extensive experience of delivering outstanding customer service and possess the ability to develop relationships across our school and the Star community.

You will have:
  • 5 GCSEs including English and Maths at grade 9-4/A*- C.
  • Experience of working in an administrative setting.
  • The ability to use MS Office software packages such as Word, Excel and Outlook, as well as Explorer and databases.
  • The ability to prioritise, work efficiently and accurately, particularly under pressure, to deadlines and using own initiative.
