Join our Business Support Service and play a vital role in supporting Children’s Social Care. We’re looking for an organised and adaptable individual to provide high-quality administrative support to social work teams.

Key Responsibilities Include

  • Handling calls to the Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH).
  • Minute-taking and organising meetings
  • Redacting documents for Subject Access Requests (SARs).
  • Using IT systems to maintain accurate data and support service delivery.
  • Working flexibly across various business support teams to support a wide range of service needs.

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, demonstrating tact and diplomacy.
  • Strong organisational skills, including effective time and task management.
  • High IT literacy and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion and in accordance with GDPR.
  • Ability to adapt working practices, suggest service improvements and be responsive to change.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multi-agency environment.
  • Ability to interrogate the case management database to obtain relevant information.

Although this role is hybrid, during the initial training and induction period, the successful candidate will spend most of their time in the office.

Please note the nature of this role will involve highly confidential information about vulnerable service users, particularly in relation to child protection and safeguarding, therefore we recommend candidates consider this prior to applying.

Hybrid working arrangements are available for this role. Each role at CYC is different and your working arrangements will be determined based on the requirements of the role and in collaboration with you and your needs as part of the recruitment process. Your contractual location will be the designated council office for your team.

The duties of this post require the postholder to undertake a basic Criminal Record check (unspent convictions only) via the Disclosure and Barring Service.
