Job summary

CANDL Recruitment is working with an established secondary academy in the Dartford area to recruit a passionate and ambitious Business Studies Teacher on a permanent basis. The role covers KS3, KS4 and KS5, with 32.5 hours per week, a salary of 39,256 to 58,185 GBP + TLR, and Outer London pay scale from M1 to UPS3.

You will work with the Head of Business to develop the curriculum, improve outcomes and inspire students to study business, economics and entrepreneurship within a supportive

Qualifications

• Relevant degree and recognised teaching qualification with QTS.
• Strong subject knowledge in Business Studies.
• Ability to deliver engaging lessons across KS3, KS4 and KS5.
• Good understanding of GCSE and A-Level Business qualifications.
• Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
• Ability to assess student progress and adapt teaching to meet individual needs.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting welfare of young people.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Business Studies lessons across KS3, KS4 and KS5.
• Inspire students to develop an understanding of business, economics and entrepreneurship.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages participation and achievement.
• Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback and implement targeted interventions.
• Use performance data to identify areas for improvement and support student attainment.
• Work collaboratively with the Head of Department to develop schemes of work and curriculum resources.
• Contribute to the development of teaching and learning across the department.
• Support extracurricular activities, clubs, trips and events.
• Maintain high standards of behaviour, safeguarding and student wellbeing.
• Promote the school's values and commitment to educational excellence.
