Salary: Up to £60,000 depending on experience
I’m working with an established UK manufacturer that is investing in its strategy capability as it enters an important period of growth and transformation.
They are looking for a Business Strategy Manager to work closely with the Head of Business Strategy and senior leaders across the organisation.
This is a broad role with exposure to growth strategy, commercial decision-making, investment cases, strategic projects and business planning. It would suit someone who enjoys taking complex problems, working through the data and turning that analysis into clear recommendations and action.
You do not necessarily need to come from a traditional corporate strategy background. Strong candidates could come from strategy, consulting, commercial, finance, analytics or business planning environments.
You will:
You will ideally have experience in one or more of the following areas:
You should be comfortable working with ambiguity and able to combine analytical thinking with strong commercial judgement.
Experience building business cases, evaluating investments or leading strategic projects would be particularly valuable.
You will also need to be confident presenting recommendations, challenging senior stakeholders constructively and getting people aligned behind a clear direction.
Experience in manufacturing, energy, utilities, engineering or another technically complex environment would be useful, but is not essential.
This is a chance to move into a broad business strategy role with genuine exposure to senior leadership.
You will be involved in some of the organisation’s most important decisions around growth, investment and future direction, rather than sitting in a narrow planning or reporting role.
For someone currently working in strategic planning, commercial finance, analytics or consulting, it could offer a strong route into a wider corporate strategy remit.
