Job summary

Crowe Watson Recruitment is seeking a Business Services Semi Senior for a leading Chartered Accountants firm in Llanelli, Carmarthenshire. You will work on a varied portfolio including owner managed businesses and partnerships, with flexible working and a supportive team.

You will gain exposure to accounts prep, year end compliance, tax and advisory work, supported by approachable managers and partners who invest in your progress.

Qualifications

• Experience in UK practice environment.
• Part qualified or qualified by experience preferred (ACA/ACCA/AAT/CTA) .
• Strong knowledge of UK GAAP and tax compliance.

Responsibilities

• Prepare year end accounts and corporation tax computations for a varied client base.
• Complete personal tax returns and support clients with ongoing compliance.
• Review the work of junior team members and offer guidance.
• Build strong relationships with clients and respond to their queries promptly.
• Support the wider team with ad hoc business services projects.

What is the day-to-day of the role:

• Prepare year end accounts and corporation tax computations for a varied client base
• Complete personal tax returns and support clients with ongoing compliance
• Review the work of junior team members and offer guidance where needed
• Build strong relationships with clients and respond to their queries promptly
• Support the wider team with ad hoc business services projects

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Previous experience working within a UK Practice environment
• Part qualified or qualified by experience, with ACA, ACCA, AAT or CTA study a bonus
• Strong working knowledge of UK GAAP and UK tax compliance
• Confident using practice software and Microsoft Excel
• Excellent communication skills and a proactive, organised approach
