The successful candidate will build strong client relationships, manage day-to-day accounting needs and work from the Huddersfield office with support for professional development within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• ACA or ACCA qualified with 5+ years' experience in a UK accountancy practice.
• AAT qualified or qualified by experience with 5+ years' relevant practice experience.
• Experience preparing statutory accounts, corporation tax returns and management accounts.
• Previous UK accountancy practice experience is essential.
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards and corporation tax compliance.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Proactive approach and a commitment to delivering high-quality client service.

Responsibilities

• Prepare statutory accounts for a varied portfolio of SME clients.
• Prepare corporation tax returns and supporting computations.
• Produce regular management accounts and financial reports for clients.

The Opportunity

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing statutory accounts, corporation tax returns and management accounts, while building strong relationships with clients and supporting them with their day-to-day accounting requirements. Key Responsibilities

• Prepare statutory accounts for a varied portfolio of SME clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance with current accounting standards.
• Prepare corporation tax returns and supporting computations.

• Maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted point of contact for day-to-day accounting queries.

About the Successful Candidate

The ideal candidate will have a strong background working within a UK accountancy practice and will be confident managing a varied workload while delivering an excellent service to SME clients.

They will also demonstrate:

• ACA or ACCA qualified with 5+ years' experience, or
• AAT qualified or qualified by experience with 5+ years' relevant practice experience.
• Experience preparing statutory accounts, corporation tax returns and management accounts.
• Previous experience working within a UK accountancy practice is essential.
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards and corporation tax compliance.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
