IKEA Milton Keynes is seeking a Business Risk and Compliance Leader to drive a culture of compliance, safety, and risk awareness across the store. You will coach managers, influence stakeholders, and ensure teams apply IKEA policies and legal requirements.

Responsibilities

• Promote risk management in the unit and share expertise for risk-aware decision making.
• Coordinate external vendors and vendor management for proactive risk mitigation.
• Develop a Risk & Compliance culture by implementing systems to detect and reduce business loss.
• Plan and ensure Crisis Management trainings and processes are in place per local plans.
• Coordinate the Unit Crisis Management Team for emergencies and ensure stakeholders are involved.
• Conduct internal investigations with local and country stakeholders per Ingka rules.

WHAT WE OFFER

• Start Date of employment will be: November 2026
• Starting salary of £31,130 per annum, based on competence and experience.
• 39 Hours, working 5 days per week and includes alternate weekends

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE

• Experienced retail manager with a proven track record of leading teams and delivering exceptional customer service.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to make well balanced decisions in a fast paced omni channel environment.
• A skilled communicator with good stakeholder management skills, ability to set clear priorities and delegate responsibility.
• Ability to assess and mitigate risks in a business environment.
• Proficient analytical skills to be able to understand performance tracking using KPIs.
• Leadership skills to inspire, motivate, encourage and engage co-workers and the wider management team by creating an open and collaborative culture built on shared motivation and accountability.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY

• Promote risk management in the unit, informing and sharing expertise in order to develop risk-aware decision taking in relation to unit goals and unit business plan.
• Coordinate external vendors and appropriate vendor management to ensure proactive mitigation of risk by ensuring the right resources
• Create a Risk & Compliance culture by developing leadership and conscious approach in identifying and implementing systems to detect, analyse and reduce business loss, financial impact, prevent incidents and accidents.
• Plan for and ensure that Crisis Management trainings and ways of working are in place in accordance with the CMT working method and Country and Local CMT plans and protocols to ensure all involved know their responsibilities.
• Coordinate the Unit Crisis Management Team for the handling of any emergency cases and perform appropriate actions according to the "Ingka Emergency Response rules" to ensure process is followed and all key stakeholders are involved.
• Conduct internal investigations, analysing unit processes and data in collaboration with local and country stakeholders, following Ingka group rules and standards to ensure compliance.
