Overview
Position Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and innovative Business Research Analyst to support strategic initiatives in the pharmaceutical industry with a focus on automation and digital transformation. The role involves conducting in-depth market and competitor research, analyzing automation trends, and providing actionable insights to drive business growth, operational efficiency, and innovation in pharma manufacturing, R&D, and supply chain operations.
Responsibilities
- Conduct research on global and regional pharma market trends, with emphasis on automation, AI, robotics and digital quality systems.
- Analyze competitor strategies, investments, and partnerships in pharmaceutical automation.
- Evaluate the impact of automation on cost efficiency, compliance, and productivity in pharma operations (e.g., manufacturing, packaging, QC labs, warehouses).
- Identify new business opportunities, partnerships, and technologies for driving automation in pharma.
- Collect, organize, and interpret market and technical data to support strategic decision-making.
- Develop financial, technical, and business models to assess feasibility of new automation initiatives.
- Prepare presentations, whitepapers, and research reports for senior leadership and clients.
- Support regulatory impact assessments of automation technologies in pharma (MHRA, FDA, EMA compliance).
- Work closely with cross-functional teams (Operations, QA, Engineering, Business Development) to align insights with company strategy.
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to interpret complex pharma and automation data.
- Knowledge of pharma regulatory frameworks (ICH Q7, GMP, GAMP 5, FDA 21 CFR Part 11, MHRA guidelines).
- Familiarity with pharma automation systems: MES, LIMS, SCADA, robotics, AI-based QC, warehouse automation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication for preparing research reports and executive presentations.
- Proficiency with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, Excel) and research databases.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications & Experience
- Master’s degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Life Sciences, Business Administration, Engineering, Automotive or related field.
- Exposure to automation technologies in pharma (manufacturing, quality control, or supply chain) highly desirable.
- Experience in market intelligence and competitor benchmarking.
