A great opportunity for a Business Procurement Manager with first-class Project Management skills in a commercial/purchasing arena to join a leading multi-site manufacturing business in a key role in the site leadership team.
My client is a leading chilled food manufacturing business operating across multiple sites in the UK. They have a great reputation for quality, innovation, and integrity.
They are seeking an experienced food manufacturing professional who will be a key part of the site leadership team, working in partnership with Group Procurement, Suppliers, and Customers to mitigate risks and foster supplier-led innovation. You will own the purchasing agenda for your site and will be responsible for planning and delivering the site PPV and PIP, as well as being accountable for all supplier performance.
A key aspect of the role is ensuring that central procurement meets strategic and operational needs, with effective management of projects through the site. You will act as the escalation point for all procurement issues and ensure NPD has the right approved suppliers, using only approved sources.
Ideal candidates will have experience working in a food manufacturing environment in a Purchasing role, preferably with CIPS qualification. Demonstrated success in implementing significant improvements within a business, along with the ability to deliver high-performance standards, is essential. You should be capable of making difficult decisions calmly under pressure, often working to tight deadlines, and achieving results.
A positive attitude, effective communication, and presentation skills are vital. A full driving license and flexibility to travel are also required.
