City of London Corporation is seeking a senior leader to head support services for Epping Forest, reporting to the Superintendent. You will lead frontline customer support and provide wider administrative support, driving improvements to business systems and budgeting reporting.
The role requires an entrepreneurial approach, strong financial awareness, and experience managing a small team, with a focus on public engagement and transparent reporting to stakeholders.

Epping Forest stretches from London's East End for 14 miles out into Essex and covers over 6000 acres along with a further 2000 acres of 'buffer land' and receives around 11 million visits each year. Two thirds of the Forest isdesignatedas Special Site of Scientific Interest (SSSI) and Special Area of Conservation (SAC) and is home to over 50,000 veteran trees, over 100 ponds and lakes, two registered parks, 4 ancient monuments, and 8 listed buildings.
As part of the senior leadership team at Epping Forest, and reporting to the Superintendent, you will lead a team of support services officers who deliver frontline customer support and provide wider administrative support across the Epping Forest team. You will lead improvements to business management systems and use data analysis to inform the charity’s annual report, as well as other reports and communications. You will also drive improved administrative efficiency across teams and support colleagues to embed the charity’s new financial reporting systems into their budgeting processes. While formal financial qualifications are notrequired, you will need an entrepreneurial approach, a focus on efficiency and an understanding of whole-life budgeting, helping the charitydemonstratebest value across all its operations. You will also manage the office and support the hosting of professional visits.
