The starting base salary is £25,000, with progression towards £45,000 as responsibilities increase. Individual performance incentives can add £200 to £400 per week.

Job description

Many capable people reach a point where effort is no longer enough to create progress. The role may feel repetitive, responsibility stays limited and development is discussed more often than it is delivered. Sage is building a different route for people who want to understand how a business is led and grown.

This is a hands-on management pathway. You will begin close to live campaign activity so that the leadership decisions you make later are grounded in real customer, team and client experience. Customer engagement forms part of the foundation, but the long-term focus is business management.

The management pathway

• Trainee Manager: leadership fundamentals, campaign knowledge, communication and performance routines
• Junior Manager: recruitment support, onboarding, payroll processes, client reporting, performance tracking and campaign budgeting
• Senior Manager: team planning, client budgets, hiring input, territory development and profit-and-loss awareness

Progression is criteria-based. Each stage requires consistent performance, sound judgement and evidence that you can support other people responsibly. Timelines vary, although the expected pathway is approximately 6 to 12 months to junior management and 12 to 18 months to senior responsibility.

What you will learn to manage

Training covers client relations, account planning, recruitment, team development, operational reporting, campaign finance and budgeting. You will learn how to read performance information, plan activity, allocate attention and communicate decisions clearly.

The aim is to develop an ownership mindset. That means understanding the numbers, taking responsibility for outcomes, spotting opportunities and knowing when to adjust a plan. One-to-one mentorship and more than 100 hours of management modules support the practical learning.

Package and working pattern

The starting base salary is £25,000, with progression towards £45,000 as responsibilities and capability increase. Individual performance incentives can add £200 to £400 per week. Hours are 10:00am to 6:00pm, Monday to Friday, with additional time for training and development. An immediate start is available.

We welcome graduates, career changers and people affected by limited progression in their current work. You should have a strong work ethic, commercial curiosity and the willingness to be accountable for your development. Previous management experience is not required.

The opportunity also includes team activities, networking with senior consultants and funded international travel for selected top performers, subject to campaign performance and business requirements.
