Job summary

LAW Absolute is seeking a hands-on Business Intelligence leader to shape data, analytics and reporting within a leading international law firm. You will lead a team of five specialists and collaborate with Finance, HR, Risk, Technology and senior executives to deliver impactful insights across the organisation.

The role focuses on Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, data modelling and governance, with a strong emphasis on stakeholder management and delivering enterprise-wide reporting and AI-driven

Are you a hands-on Business Intelligence leader with law firm experience looking to shape the future of data, analytics and reporting within a leading international law firm?

The Opportunity

You’ll lead a team of five specialists and play a key role in transforming the firm’s reporting and analytics capabilities following a major Practice Management System implementation.

This position combines:

• Power BI & Microsoft Fabric Expertise

• Hands-on Reporting & Analytics Delivery

You’ll work closely with Finance, HR, Risk, Technology and senior business leaders to deliver meaningful insights that support strategic decision-making across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing Business Intelligence team
• Own the BI roadmap and help shape a modern Microsoft Fabric analytics platform
• Drive best practice across Power BI development, governance and reporting standards

What We're Looking For

You must have previous experience in a law firm. If you do not have this experience, your application will not be considered.

• Significant experience within Business Intelligence, Reporting or Analytics environments
• Strong hands-on Power BI expertise including DAX, Power Query and data modelling
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric or modern Microsoft data platforms
• Proven leadership experience managing or mentoring BI professionals
• Strong understanding of data warehousing, ETL/ELT and enterprise reporting
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Experience delivering business-critical reporting solutions at scale
