Redstone Commodity Search is working with an international soft & agricultural trading house looking to onboard a business intelligence analyst to join the team in London.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement BI solutions using Power BI for operational and strategic decision-making across multiple functions and commodities.
- Partner with stakeholders to understand business needs, gather requirements, and upgrade existing reporting tools as needed.
- Validate and improve data integrity by reviewing data collection processes and recommending enhancements to ensure accuracy and compliance (e.g., GDPR).
- Collaborate with IT to optimise data storage and security, including developing a global data lake and preparing for predictive analytics.
- Act as Power BI Workspace Admin, managing access, user groups, scheduled refreshes, and automations.
- Maintain a global repository of reports to ensure consistency, reusability, and a single source of truth across the organisation.
- Champion the adoption of Power BI by training users, gathering feedback, and continuously improving reporting solutions.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Degree qualified with a strong analytical, statistical, or data management background.
- 5+ years’ experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or reporting roles with hands-on Power BI expertise.
- Proven ability to build compelling dashboards, visualisations, and KPI scorecards.
- Strong understanding of data modelling, performance tuning, and efficient report delivery.
- Highly organised, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-moving, international setting.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to engage and influence a global user base.
- Prior exposure to commodities data, CTRM systems (especially iRely), and real-time reporting environments is a strong advantage.
