Job description

Why Greencore?

Following the combination with Bakkavor in January 2026, we’re one of the UK’s leading creators of convenience food, driven by a simple purpose: to make every day taste better.

As a vibrant and fast-moving business, we’re proud to employ over 28,000 talented colleagues across 36 manufacturing sites and 21 distribution depots in the UK and the US. Together, we bring delicious food to life. Our products cover every meal occasion from breakfast through to dinner and dessert, with lunch and snacking in between. In FY25, our shared passion helped us achieve combined revenues of approximately £4bn.

Our extensive direct to store (DTS) network, with 17 depots across the UK, allows us to deliver fresh and frozen food both our own and from trusted partners to thousands of stores every day, ensuring consumers enjoy the very best, whenever and wherever they shop.

What You’ll be doing:

As a key driver of transformation and delivery, you’ll lead impactful logistics integration projects that support our wider business strategy and operational excellence. You’ll take ownership from concept through to implementation, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.

You will:

  • Lead end-to-end logistics project delivery and business change implementations within agreed timelines and budgets
  • Design, direct, and oversee multiple projects aligned to strategic business objectives and our integration strategy
  • Drive the implementation and embedding of improved business processes and operational practices
  • Manage project governance and change control procedures to ensure deliverables are achieved on time, within scope, and within budget
  • Plan, coordinate, and deliver major business changes and new operational concepts
  • Develop commercially sound project approaches and oversee post-launch activities to ensure continued success
  • Provide challenge, oversight, and strategic alignment across all active projects and initiatives
  • Build strong stakeholder relationships and deliver clear communication plans to ensure engagement at all levels
  • Monitor and manage critical project paths to ensure timely and successful delivery
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks throughout the project lifecycle

18 months' project - this role can be based at our Peterborough, Manton 110 or Tamworth site

  • Demonstrable experience in project risk management and governance
  • Experience managing contracts and third-party suppliers
  • Familiarity with technologies and environments such as data centre hosting and managed services
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and organisational skills
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
