Job summary

Leeds International Study Centre, provided by Study Group in collaboration with the University of Leeds and Leeds Beckett University, seeks a Head of Department to lead and support our academic team and ensure progression rates to Partner Universities. Reporting to the Head of Curriculum and Progression, you will drive programme quality and academic development. You will work with international students and contribute to centre leadership and strategy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant subject area.
• Masters qualification is desirable.
• PhD candidates will be welcomed.
• Experience teaching in UK higher or further education and working with international students.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the academic team to deliver contractually required progression rates to partner universities.
• Provide academic coordination and leadership for designated modules as Head of Department.
• Participate in meetings and contribute to effective management of programmes and student lifecycle.
• Oversee design, delivery and assessment of modules, manage examinations and feedback, and maintain the VLE.
• Contribute to quality assurance, annual monitoring and enhancement of standards within the centre.
• Collaborate with partner universities and Centre management to develop pathways and articulation routes.
• Ensure health, safety and wellbeing of students and staff, and uphold compliance and reporting requirements.
