Job summary

Morgan Law is seeking an interim Business Development Officer/Manager for a Central London-based membership organisation/charity. The role focuses on developing income-generating products, offers and services to support financial sustainability and value for councils.

The role will identify new income opportunities and support commercial service development while driving bids and grants. The position offers hybrid work with London preference, or fully remote for the right candidate, and is paid

Job description

Work for a membership organisation/charity in Central London as a Business Development Officer/Manager. Interim - 3 months - £270 - £310 a day via an umbrella company. Can be very flexible with on-site demands.

Role Purpose

To support the development and implementation of new income-generating products, offers, and services that contribute to the financial sustainability of the organisation and generate additional value to councils. The role will focus on identifying new income opportunities, supporting commercial service development, and contributing to the delivery of the organisation's commercial initiatives.

• Work towards the achievement of the organisations commercial income targets by identifying and developing income-generating opportunities aligned with the organisational priorities.
• Support the creation and implementation of new income-generating products and services from concept to delivery.
• Support all aspects of the business development process, contribute to commercial market analysis and customer engagement to inform service development.
• Lead and coordinate bidding activities for competitive tenders and grant funding opportunities, ensuring high-quality submissions.

Experience and skills

Excellent BD skills. Ideally business development experience within the charity or wider public sectors. Tender/grant writing exposure. Good work ethic, positive approach and happy to get stuck in.
