POLY POSTAL PACKAGING LIMITED, based in Lincoln, is seeking a proven Business Development Manager to lead growth across UK accounts. The role combines field and hybrid work from our Lincoln HQ, with a base salary and uncapped commission in a packaging-focused sales environment.

You’ll manage industrial and commercial accounts, pitch a broad range of packaging solutions, and build long-term procurement relationships to maximise value. The role offers a clear progression path.

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER (PACKAGING INDUSTRY SPECIALIST)

Are you a proven B2B sales professional with deep roots in the UK packaging industry?

Poly Postal Packaging is expanding, and we are looking for a high-performing Business Development Manager to lead our ambitious growth strategy across new commercial and industrial accounts!

With over 30 years in the industry and based in Lincoln, Poly Postal Packaging is an experienced manufacturer and trade supplier of flexible polythene, cardboard boxes, bespoke printed mailers, and eco-friendly packaging solutions.

ROLE:

Business Development Manager (Packaging Industry Specialist)

LOCATION:

Field / Hybrid / Lincoln HQ (Unit 11 Newporte Business Park, Cardinal Close, Lincoln, LN2 4SY)

HOURS:

Full-Time (Monday–Thursday 9:00 AM–5:00 PM | Friday 9:00 AM–4:00 PM)

PAY & PACKAGE:

£40 - £60k, Excellent Base Salary + Uncapped Commission / Bonus + Benefits (Negotiable based on track record)

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

• Driving New Business Growth: Proactively identify, target, and convert key accounts across industrial, commercial, manufacturing, distribution, and 3PL sectors.
• Consultative Packaging Sales: Pitch our full portfolio, including custom flexible packaging, polythene mailing bags, corrugated cartons, heavy-duty boxes, postal mailers, and certified sustainable packaging options.
• Industry Networking: Leverage existing industry contacts and market knowledge to secure long-term, high-volume supply contracts.
• Client Relationship Management: Build strong, strategic relationships with procurement teams, warehouse managers, and fulfilment operations to maximize lifetime account value.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

• Demonstrated success in a Business Development role within the UK packaging sector selling flexible, corrugated, and postal solutions.
• Solid understanding of polythene bags, mailers, cardboard boxes, heavy-duty packaging, and sustainable materials.
• Proven track record selling directly into Industrial, Commercial, Manufacturing, Distribution, and 3PL companies as well as ecommerce
• New business focused with an established network and a passion for winning key accounts.
