Russell Taylor Group has a fantastic opportunity for a Business Development Manager in Southeast England. This role is suitable for individuals with chromatography experience (HPLC, GC, LC) in a lab setting who are interested in transitioning into sales, or experienced BDMs familiar with the chromatography market.

The role involves travel 2-3 times a week within the South East region, with the rest of the week based from home. You will be given targets and manage your own schedule.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage and grow existing accounts, develop strategic plans to drive sales within chromatography
  • Identify, target, and acquire new customers, including dormant accounts
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Generate leads via networking, industry events, cold calling, and digital channels
  • Monitor industry trends, competitors, and customer feedback
  • Conduct market research and identify emerging opportunities
  • Close sales independently and early in the sales cycle
  • Deliver presentations and represent the company at exhibitions
  • Prepare sales proposals and quotations
  • Provide weekly activity, forecast, and sales reports
The Person:
  • Experience with chromatography (HPLC, LC, GC) in a lab setting or in sales of chromatography products/services
  • Living in Southeast England
  • Willing to travel regionally 2-3 times weekly
  • Flexible to attend exhibitions and events, including occasional overnight stays
  • Calm under pressure and deadline-oriented
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Effective communicator, both written and verbal
  • Confident and target-driven
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • UK Driving Licence
