Job description

New Business Development Manager within the unique sector of the Travel & Tourism industry of Holiday Lettings to cover East Devon areas such as Exeter, Axminster, Honiston, Colyton, Seaton, Sidmouth, Budleigh, Exmouth, Dawlish, Collumpton, Tiverton, Crediton and will also cover Lyme Regis and Bridport. Based from your home office in the East Devon area, you will be responsible for developing and winning new business across the area, working Monday - Friday, with a basic salary and uncapped OTE averaging circa £45k - £50k, fully expensed company car, 25 days holiday plus all Bank Holidays with additional ad hoc sales incentives throughout the months and quarters!

The role of New Business Development Manager - Holiday lettings in brief:

  1. You'll be based from home selling and communicating with prospective new property owners in your area, developing relationships with new clients to promote and sell the travel company's excellent branding for their properties as holiday lets.
  2. You'll be working for the UK's longest established and most successful travel brand for the UK's leading holiday cottage company.
  3. You'll be responsible for self-generating your own leads as well as converting warm leads and effectively managing your sales pipeline to deliver results and sales targets.
  4. You'll be identifying and sourcing new clients through local networking and developing relationships with estate agents and other key suppliers such as cleaning companies, accountants, maintenance contractors, etc., to generate referrals.
  5. You'll be negotiating with new and existing suppliers.
  6. You will be offering advice to new property owners and support on how to best feature and sell their property as a holiday let.
  7. You will be responsible for taking professional photographs of the properties and assisting in writing strong creative marketing literature - training and a professional camera are provided.

Successful candidates for this Business Development Manager role in the past have backgrounds in:

  1. The travel industry, having worked in a similar role securing and developing new business sales within the UK based Tourism & Travel industry OR holiday lettings.
  2. Other travel industry sectors within sales, business development, or account management, or as retail travel branch managers.
  3. Estate agency sales, especially within residential lets/lettings, having held roles such as Lettings Manager, Lettings Negotiator, or Estate Agency Branch Manager.
  4. Being an area sales manager/field sales/regional sales manager/business development manager from within other sectors.
