In this context, we are seeking a motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to join our team in CLS UK (London) and drive business growth in the UK and Northern Europe region. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the offshore wind industry and a passion for renewable energy and ocean data technologies.
The Main Responsibilities Will Be
- Develop and implement sales strategies to expand our client base in the UK offshore wind market and maritime surveillance market,
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, focusing on ocean data collection services and maritime domain awareness,
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in the offshore wind industry and law enforcement agencies,
- Collaborate with technical teams to understand and effectively communicate our service offerings
- Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and proposals to potential clients,
- Negotiate contracts and close deals,
- Attend industry events, conferences, and trade shows to promote our services,
- Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and market developments,
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities and client interactions in our CRM system,
- Work closely with project teams to ensure smooth delivery of services to clients.
Profil recherché
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Oceanography, Meteorology, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field
- 5+ years of sales experience, preferably in the offshore wind or marine technology sectors
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and growing business in a B2B and B2G environment
- Strong understanding of the UK offshore wind market and renewable energy sector
- Familiarity with ocean data collection technologies and methodologies
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Strong negotiation and relationship-building abilities
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to travel within the UK and Northern Europe region
Skills
- Advanced degree in a relevant field
- Experience with Floating LiDAR, metocean, or environmental data collection technologies
- Knowledge of UK offshore wind regulations and leasing processes
- Existing network of contacts in the UK offshore wind industry
