Consulo are supporting an established international engineering group in the appointment of a Business Development Manager to strengthen its presence across the Midlands.
This is an opportunity for a technically capable, commercially ambitious sales professional to develop a career within a business whose technologies sit at the heart of automated production, conveying and material movement across modern industry.
The company designs and engineers application-specific solutions used across automated manufacturing and processing environments, working closely with OEMs, machine builders, systems integrators and end users to improve productivity, reliability, efficiency and equipment performance.
Taking ownership of the Midlands territory, you will develop both new and existing business across a diverse industrial customer base.
This is not simply a transactional component sales position.
You will engage directly with engineers, designers, production teams and commercial decision-makers, understanding machinery, processes and applications before identifying the most appropriate technical solution.
We are particularly interested in speaking with ambitious technical sales professionals who have developed their careers around engineered products, machinery or industrial technology.
You could currently be working for an OEM, component manufacturer, automation business or specialist engineering organisation within areas such as:
Of greater importance is your ability to understand a mechanical application, communicate credibly with engineers and translate technical requirements into commercial opportunities.
This could therefore be an excellent progression opportunity for a technically astute Sales Engineer, Area Sales Manager or Business Development professional who has already established themselves within industrial sales and is ready to take greater ownership of a strategically important territory.
You will be joining an internationally established engineering organisation with a sophisticated technical portfolio, significant OEM exposure and applications across some of industry's most advanced production environments.
For someone who enjoys the intersection between engineering, problem solving and commercial development, the position offers considerable scope to build relationships, develop markets and establish yourself within a highly specialised area of industrial technology.
If your background sits within industrial automation, conveying, power transmission, machinery or engineered components and you are looking for a technically engaging field sales opportunity across the Midlands, I would be very interested in speaking with you.
