Job summary

A leading UK engineering firm is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager (BDM) to drive growth in the Northern UK markets for their technical products within the Defence and Aerospace sectors. Are you experienced in selling technical products into OEMs within the Defence & Aerospace sectors in the North of the UK?

Do you have experience with electrical/electromechanical components or similar products that require solution-based selling into manufacturing stages or as bespoke additions?

Would you like to take over a strong customer base and a fantastic product range for a leading UK engineering firm?

We are looking for an experienced BDM, preferably with exposure to military/aerospace sectors, to join a results-driven team and manage the growth of the Northern UK markets.

The company has over 90 years of growth, designing and manufacturing equipment for Aviation, Maritime, Military, Aerospace, and Rail industries. They are a proud UK manufacturer capable of creating bespoke products quickly. Your role will be to meet or exceed sales targets and communicate action plans when results vary.

Applicants should be comfortable visiting and working at trade shows worldwide, engaging with end-user customers directly, and discussing technical product benefits and pain points. Tech-savvy candidates familiar with ERP/CRM systems and experienced in client meetings over video calls are preferred.

This role involves travel and career growth opportunities in military or aerospace sales. Ideally, candidates will be based in the North of the UK, not lower than Birmingham, with occasional visits to the East Anglia office.
