Location: This role is based in Omagh

We are seeking a Business Development Manager for our AFT Drinks, Licensed Wholesale team.

AFT Drinks is a dynamic drinks company passionate about offering a wide range of quality products and excellent service. Our portfolio includes nearly 2,000 products across spirits, wines, beers, soft drinks, and bar essentials. We represent premium brands like Hinch Whiskey, MacIvors Cider, Muff Liquor Spirits, and wines such as Mionetto Prosecco, Mouton Cadet, Dada, Most Wanted Wines, and Isla Negra.

We are now accepting applications for a Business Development Manager to expand our team. The successful candidate will develop the AFT Drinks business in Northern Ireland through sales, margin management, and relationship building.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop the AFT Drinks business through sales growth and relationship management in the on and off trade within a designated area.
  • Achieve quarterly sales and margin targets aligned with company objectives.
  • Expand key account relationships by nurturing existing ones and securing new accounts.
  • Identify and develop profitable new business opportunities in collaboration with the broader team.
  • Increase on-trade wine sales by expanding market share and securing new wine listings.
  • Execute marketing plans, driving promotions and new product launches.
  • Ensure full compliance with credit control policies.
  • Collaborate with logistics, marketing, trading, and telesales to enhance customer service.

The ideal candidate will have / be:

Essential:

  • At least 3+ years of proactive field sales experience, ideally within the licensed trade.
  • Proven ability to grow sales and meet targets.
  • Strong commercial acumen and customer focus.
  • Decision-making skills, target orientation, and resilience under pressure.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills.
  • Ability to network and build strong relationships.
  • Full clean driving license.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, including Excel and Word.

Desirable:

  • Understanding of the drinks industry.
  • Interest or knowledge of the wine industry.
