Business Development Manager: Electrical Sector: South Yorkshire and Lincolnshire

GBP 45K - GBP 55K NEG DOE OTE including excellent Basic, Bonus plus Car, Pension, Health Insurance, Critical Illness cover, and Life Assurance benefits.

Fantastic opportunity to join a market-leading and progressive company in the Electrical Industry as a Business Development Manager. The successful applicant will receive a good basic salary, company car, pension, and participation in a target-related Bonus scheme, along with significant health and life insurance benefits.

To be successful, you will require sales experience in the industrial electrical marketplace, some technical ability, and product knowledge in some area. An electrical qualification is ideal but not mandatory.

Working remotely from a home base, you will plan your diary and customer visits within your territory. As an Application Business Development Manager, you will identify opportunities to promote and sell electrical, lighting, power distribution, factory automation, and process automation solutions across various industries. The company provides access to an extensive range of supplier products and brands to meet most requirements.

Reporting to and under the guidance of your Regional Sales Manager, you will identify business opportunities, engage with decision-makers, and develop relationships. You will have access to extensive customer database information, marketing support, and full technical support, including ongoing product and technical training.

We are seeking candidates located in South Yorkshire, Lincolnshire, Sheffield, Wakefield, Doncaster, Rotherham, Huddersfield, Dewsbury, Leeds, Bradford, or nearby areas with good road access. Candidates outside these areas but willing to travel within the territory will also be considered.

For this field-based sales role, candidates should possess:

  1. Demonstrable sales career success
  2. Excellent time management, organization, and communication skills (verbal and written)
  3. Self-motivation and a 'can-do' attitude
  4. Commercial and technical ability
  5. Ideally, industrial electrical/control and automation knowledge
  6. Proficiency in Microsoft 365
  7. Customer-focused approach
  8. Full UK driving license
  9. Eligibility to work in the UK (no sponsorship available)
