You will identify and drive growth opportunities, promote Western’s products and services to prospective clients, and ensure ongoing engagement across your customer base. Working closely with the Inside Sales Team, you will support customers’ purchasing needs while effectively communicating new and existing products, services and programmes. Other responsibilities include:

  • Identify, research and develop new business opportunities, including new markets, growth areas, products, services, partnerships, and innovative approaches to existing markets.
  • Take full ownership and accountability for the regional sales budget, forecasting and performance delivery.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams to design and implement effective sales initiatives that drive revenue growth.
  • Act as the primary liaison between customers and internal teams, ensuring customer requirements are clearly understood and successfully delivered.
  • Communicate market intelligence internally, including opportunities, risks, challenges and trends affecting assigned accounts.
  • Develop and execute customer-specific sales plans aligned to agreed budgets, pricing structures and costings.
  • Work in partnership with Sales and Marketing teams to set and implement strategies informed by market and customer trends.
  • Network with gold customers to identify evolving customer needs, maintaining regular engagement through visits, calls and industry events.
What will you bring to the role:
  • A highly motivated sales professional with at least 1-3 years proven experience in a similar role; we're equally open to candidates earlier in their career who bring the right energy and drive.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing the full sales cycle.
  • Must be based in Manchester/Leeds area on the M62 corridor and willing to be on the road 2-4days per week, working from home the remaining days.
  • Experience working in a similar industry.
  • Ability to work autonomously in managing own diary.
  • Demonstrable experience in negotiating and meeting clients’ requirements.
  • Excellent analytical and organisational skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written as you will be conversing with senior level decision makers daily.
  • Confident presenting to and engaging with customers and internal stakeholders at all levels.
  • Must be team oriented with the ability to be flexible in pursuit of the larger goal.
  • Must be a ‘people-person’ – someone who is approachable, easy to talk to, and trusted.
  • A self-starter with the drive to exceed goals, overcome challenges and continuously develop.
  • A competent CRM user ideally with experience of using NetSuite.
