About the Role

Are you a driven and ambitious professional with a passion for new business development? GES EMEA is looking for a dynamic Business Development Manager to fuel our growth and target new opportunities within the Exhibitions and Congress sector.

As a key member of the team, you will take charge of building lasting relationships, identifying high-potential opportunities, and winning new business. You will be the first point of contact for potential clients, using your excellent communication skills to gather crucial information, create tailored solutions, and drive the success of our Exhibitions and Congress team. What You’ll Do
  1. Drive New Business: Prospect and build relationships with new organiser clients in the UK for the EMEA Exhibitions and Congress team, helping to shape our future growth and success.
  2. Exceed Targets: Work passionately toward surpassing financial goals, celebrating your success as you win new business and contribute to GES’s expansion.
  3. Create Winning Proposals: Formulate and deliver outstanding written proposals, from informal documents to formal RFP responses, that showcase GES’s strengths and win clients over.
  4. Lead Generation & Conversion: Be proactive in researching and targeting potential leads, converting them into exciting opportunities through strategic relationship-building and top-notch communication.
  5. Collaborate for Success: Work closely with internal teams – from Exhibitions and marketing to sales – to align strategies, share insights, and ensure every client interaction is impactful and successful.
What We’re Looking For
  • A proven track record in business development, sales, or a similar role, ideally within the exhibitions or congress sector.
  • A natural ability to build meaningful relationships and turn prospects into long-term clients.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to craft persuasive proposals and deliver them with confidence.
  • A passion for exceeding targets and driving growth through innovation and determination.
  • A collaborative mindset with the ability to work seamlessly across teams to achieve common goals.
  • Detail-oriented with a keen focus on accuracy in contracts and client communications.
  • A second language, ideally French, would be desirable.
