Part of the globally recognised Caprice Holdings collection, Sexy Fish brings the energy of London's Mayfair to the heart of Manchester, creating a dining and nightlife experience like no other.

About the role

Sexy Fish Manchester is looking for a Business Development Manager to grow revenue from corporate clients, group bookings, private dining and events.

You will be the face of the restaurant in the Manchester business community: building relationships, bringing in new clients and keeping existing ones coming back. This is a proactive, target-driven sales role for someone who knows the city's corporate and luxury hospitality scene and enjoys being out meeting people.

Key responsibilities
  • Identify and win new business from corporate clients, agencies, concierge services, hotels and luxury brands across Manchester and the North West.
  • Build and manage a pipeline of leads, converting enquiries into confirmed group bookings, private dining and exclusive hires.
  • Develop long-term relationships with key accounts, PAs, event planners and bookers, acting as their main point of contact.
  • Represent Sexy Fish at networking events, industry functions and client meetings, including evenings where needed.
  • Host site visits and show-rounds, and be present on the floor to welcome key clients and VIP guests.
  • Work with the events, reservations and marketing teams to create proposals, packages and campaigns that drive bookings in quieter periods.
  • Build partnerships with local businesses, brands and venues that raise the restaurant's profile.
  • Track and report on sales activity, pipeline and revenue against monthly and annual targets.
  • Keep the client database accurate and up to date.
  • Monitor competitor activity and market trends, and share insight with the senior team.
About you
  • Proven experience in business development or sales within luxury hospitality, restaurants, hotels or events.
  • An established network of corporate and agency contacts in Manchester.
  • A track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets.
  • Confident and polished, with excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated and organised, able to manage your own pipeline and diary.
  • A genuine passion for hospitality and delivering an exceptional guest experience.
  • Comfortable using CRM and reservation systems.
  • Flexible to work some evenings and weekends for events and client hosting.
Benefits
  • 30% Dining discount across our Caprice restaurants (excluding Scott's Mayfair) & The Ivy Collection
  • Access to early pay, savings tools & financial coaching via Stream
  • Enhanced maternity & paternity leave
  • Cycle to work scheme and refer-a-friend bonuses up to £1,000
  • English language classes, length of service awards & employee recognition bonuses
  • Employee Assistance Programme
  • Plus, a structured pension scheme with employer contributions
