Business Development Manager

Location:Gravesend, Kent

Salary:£25,000–£30,000 (DOE)

Are you a talented and driven individual with a passion for business growth and innovation in the financial services industry? We’re on the lookout for a Business Development Manager to join our expanding Sales Department.

This is an exciting opportunity to become an integral part of our Bridging Sales Team, playing a key role in managing new business leads from clients and brokers. You will be the crucial link in the sales process—supporting the team, liaising with brokers, and ensuring all documentation is completed accurately and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the sales team with administration for new business leads
  • Build and nurture relationships with brokers and clients via phone and email
  • Assist in packaging deals and progressing them to underwriting
  • Collate and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly data reports for the Senior Leadership Team
  • Understand and consult on clients’ and brokers’ specific requirements, ensuring deadlines are met
  • Issue and chase Decisions in Principle (DIPs), progressing applications
  • Ensure broker compliance by registering FCA-authorised brokers
  • Maintain and update the sales pipeline
  • Upload invoices related to sales activities

Minimum Requirements:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail
  • Strong sense of ownership and dedication to delivering high-quality service
  • Exceptional time management and multitasking abilities
  • Adaptability to training and changes in industry processes
  • Customer service experience

Person Specification:

  • Experience within the finance sector
  • Previous sales or business development experience
  • Proactive and enthusiastic, with a can-do attitude
  • Flexible, reliable, and willing to go the extra mile
  • Strong communication skills with a confident approach
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented
