Job summary

Penguin Recruitment Ltd is seeking a proactive Business Development Manager for the water sector, covering Bristol and surrounding areas. The role focuses on winning new business in water hygiene, Legionella, and water treatment, while building lasting relationships with facilities managers and decision-makers.

You will manage your own sales pipeline, prepare proposals, and collaborate with operations to ensure smooth handovers and successful contracts.

Qualifications

• Experience in sales, business development or account management in water industry.
• Strong understanding of Legionella compliance, water hygiene or water treatment.
• Proven track record of winning new business.
• Confident discussing pricing and contracts with clients at all levels.
• Organised, self-motivated and able to work on your own initiative.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Finding and winning new business across water hygiene, Legionella and water treatment.
• Building relationships with facilities managers, estates teams, contractors and other decision-makers.
• Managing your own pipeline, from first contact through to contract award.
• Preparing proposals, quotes and presentations.
• Growing existing accounts with additional services.
• Working closely with the operations team to hand over new work smoothly.
• Attending client meetings and networking events around Bristol and beyond.

Know the water hygiene industry inside out and enjoy winning new business? An established water compliance specialist is looking for a Business Development Manager to help take them to the next level.

They've been providing water hygiene and compliance services across the UK for over 30 years, are LCA members, and hold ISO 9001 and Constructionline Gold accreditation. As part of a growing group, they're investing in their sales team and want someone who can build long-term client relationships.
