Job summary

The Opportunity Provider Ltd (TOP) is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive growth in the Adult Health and Social Care sector. The role combines new business generation from a fresh desk with nurturing key accounts across England, with hybrid working and travel 1-2 days per week.

You will own diary management, develop tailored training solutions, and collaborate with internal teams to deliver impact while meeting ambitious targets and expanding client partnerships.

Qualifications

  • Experience in business development within apprenticeships or work-based learning.
  • Proven track record of meeting targets and driving growth.
  • Ability to build relationships with senior managers via face-to-face, email, and phone interactions.
  • Strong commercial acumen, negotiation skills, and strategic thinking.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and working knowledge of CRM systems.
  • Outstanding organisational, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Willingness to travel across England for meetings and events.

Responsibilities

  • Developing and implementing business development strategies aligned with client and company goals.
  • Applying strong care sector knowledge to identify market opportunities and build tailored training solutions.
  • Working towards key targets.
  • Managing a portfolio of key client accounts and extending their lifetime value.
  • Identifying new business opportunities, market growth areas, and commercial partnerships.
  • Building strong relationships with senior decision-makers and stakeholders across industries.
  • Representing The Opportunity Provider at local and national events and conferences.
  • Collaborating with internal teams (Delivery, Marketing, Curriculum, and Quality) to deliver bespoke training solutions.
  • Assisting with negotiations and securing new partnerships.
  • Maintaining accurate, GDPR-compliant CRM records.
  • Your typical week will include working remotely from home, with occasional travel across England for client meetings, industry events, and stakeholder engagement.
