Job Description:

Due to company growth, an exciting and brand-new opportunity has arisen for an experienced Business Development Manager to join a fast-growing and highly successful energy and data organization.

The role will be fully remote, but you will be required to attend Head Office in Surrey approximately once a month. The geographical area will be national within the UK, and you will be responsible for selling EV charge points, solar, and decarbonization technologies to businesses, developing partnerships.

This position involves a 50/50 split between new sales and approaching existing customers from a warm database. We are seeking a true sales professional with proven business development experience, a confident and friendly approach, and a passion for building relationships. You will be targeted and expected to attend at least one face-to-face customer meeting per week and approximately four Teams meetings.

The focus is on securing quality meetings with customers rather than the number of calls made.

You will generate leads, identify, engage, and secure new business, and close deals before passing clients to a dedicated Account Manager for a smooth handover.

You will work towards KPIs, report results, and provide market research insights. While accountable for your own work, teamwork, sharing ideas, knowledge, and experience is strongly emphasized.

Skills/Experience and Attributes Required:
  • Ideally 2-5 years of solid experience as a Business Development Manager
  • Proven face-to-face B2B sales experience
  • Degree qualification preferred
  • A valid driving license is ideally required
  • Experience in EV charging or solar power sales is highly desirable
  • Knowledge or passion for EV charging is a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint
  • Experience in lead generation, tracking, and closing deals
  • Inquisitive nature and fact-finding skills
  • Strong relationship-building skills
  • Modern, dynamic sales approach using various technologies
