Overview

The Sales Development Representative (SDR) plays a pivotal role in identifying and generating new qualified sales opportunities within designated target accounts for assigned Account Executives. Acting as the initial point of contact, the SDR builds trusted relationships with prospects, effectively positioning the company’s value proposition.

This role involves strategic research of target accounts within the assigned territory and proactive outreach through multiple channels, including email, phone calls, and social media. The SDR will receive dedicated mentorship and professional development from experienced sales leaders, fostering growth and success within the organization.


How you'll make an impact

  • Promoting and marketing Gallagher business through extensive and persistent outbound emails and communication(s) to prospective clients
  • Scheduling Initial Prospecting Meetings for the Sales Team
  • Providing in depth information to the Sales team to enable the most qualified and productive meetings
  • Researching and evaluating additional leads/prospects through web research
  • Meet or exceed assigned quota of calls or contacts per day
  • Working together with the Sales team to grow a specific sales territory
  • Working with the Sales Director to support the acquisition of new accounts in the region
  • Help as needed to build awareness on special projects / events
  • Ensuring the lowest possible level of unsubscribes.
  • Maintaining all contacts/opportunities and recording all progress in agreed CRM tools.
  • Ensuring the highest possible quality of data in CRM system.
  • Adhering to all GPDR requirements

About You

Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of inside sales or business development related sales experience (preferred)

Technical Knowledge:

  • Prior use of LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo, Outreach, and Salesforce preferred

Experience:

  • Proven track record demonstrating strong articulation of a product's selling points via phone and email
  • Ability to assist in coordinating sales functions, including prospecting and leads research
  • Experience within and knowledge of the pensions industry desired

Skills/Other:

  • Positive attitude and demonstrated ability to deal with rejection
  • Strong oral and written communication skills along with excellent listening skills
  • Ability to develop rapport, influence others, and maintain strong working relationships
  • Demonstrated ability to explain complex issues clearly
  • Must be self-motivated, persistent, and able to work independently
