Job description

Every parcel, every person, every place – every delivery made for you.

Evri Group is the UK’s premier parcel delivery business, uniting four distinct brands—Evri, Evri Premium, a network of DHL, UK Mail and Irish e-commerce specialist Coll-8—to deliver more than 1 billion parcels and letters annually across the UK and to over 200 global destinations. With 12,000 colleagues, 30,000 couriers and drivers, 8,000 vehicles, and a nationwide network of hubs, depots and fulfilment centres, we combine over 50 years of expertise with the scale and flexibility to support everyone from casual senders to SMEs and major retailers. Driven by our friendly, ambitious and diverse people, we are passionate about delivering exceptional service and offer exciting opportunities across the Evri Group.

Join the fast-growing Evri Parcel Shop team as a Business Development Executive and play a key role in expanding and strengthening our network across Northampton, Cambridge and Peterborough.

In this agile, fast-paced role, you’ll have the autonomy to manage your territory commercially and creatively, building strong relationships with retailer partners while driving service excellence, performance improvement and network growth. You’ll be responsible for recruiting new Parcel shop locations, supporting existing retailers to deliver outstanding customer experience, and helping to ensure every Parcel shop operates safely, efficiently and in line with company standards.

This is a field-based role where travel is required daily across your territory (Northampton, Cambridge and Peterborough), occasionally to other areas of the UK if needed. The ideal candidate will be geographically located within these locations e.g. Bedford, etc.

You will be provided a competitive salary plus car allowance and benefits.

What You’ll Do

You’ll manage a defined Parcel Shop territory, identifying opportunities to grow coverage, support retailer performance and improve service quality. You’ll work closely with local retailers and internal stakeholders to drive commercial success and deliver a consistent customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a defined Parcel Shop territory and maintain a regular visit cycle with stores
  • Identify and recruit new Parcel Shop locations that meet operational requirements
  • Support existing retailers to improve performance against agreed KPI targets
  • Use reporting and MI to review retailer performance and drive continuous improvement
  • Motivate and engage Parcel Shop retailers to deliver excellent customer service
  • Ensure Parcel Shop processes, equipment and branding standards are understood and followed
  • Promote local retailer activity and increase awareness of Parcel Shop services
  • Train retailers on the correct use of Evri equipment and Parcel Shop processes
  • Ensure health and safety standards are in place, with parcels stored safely and securely
  • Analyse retailer, enquiry and claims data to identify issues and opportunities
  • Provide accurate and timely reporting to line management and relevant stakeholders
  • Complete retailer administration accurately, including insurance and public liability documentation
  • Sell additional Parcel Shop services where appropriate to meet business targets
  • Represent Evri Parcel Shops professionally, with a strong focus on customer service excellence
  • Manage time effectively to ensure full productivity and strong territory coverage
What We’re Looking For:

To be successful in this role, you’ll bring a strong commercial mindset, confidence working with data, and the ability to influence and support retailer partners.

Essential experience and skills:
  • Current UK driving licence (must be able to drive)
  • Previous experience of coaching, supporting and motivating colleagues or partners
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to plan effective solutions
  • Customer-focused approach with excellent relationship-building skills
  • Ability to adapt communication style to different people and situations
  • Confident using data, reports and basic Excel
  • Strong influencing skills, both internally and externally
  • Proven ability to take ownership and see issues through to resolution
  • Self-motivated, proactive and able to work independently
  • Commercial awareness and the ability to think strategically in a busy operational environment
  • Track record of delivering results, increasing performance or achieving targets
What We Can Offer You:

We’re proud to offer a workplace where everyone can thrive. In return, you’ll receive:

  • Full training and a supported induction process
  • Mobile phone and laptop
  • Annual bonus
  • Career progression opportunities
  • A culture where people are encouraged, supported and valued
  • Flexible, inclusive benefits including shopping vouchers, insurance and healthcare
  • At least 33 days annual leave (including Bank Holidays)

We’re committed to building a truly inclusive and diverse workplace where everyone can bring – and be – their whole authentic selves. We’re also on a mission to be the UK’s most accessible delivery business. We’ve partnered with Scope, the leading disability equality charity, to improve deliveries for millions of customers and give extra support to our colleagues and couriers who need it.
