Job Description:

An opportunity for a Business Development Director to work in the Technology, Media & Telecommunications sector to lead and grow a portfolio.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Your role will be to drive one major TMT business, alongside other accounts, to accelerate growth through creating relationships, originating opportunities, driving proposals, and winning revenue across all non-audit service lines at KPMG.
  • You will develop your network and relationships at the client, understand their issues, originate opportunities, and develop cross-service solutions for multi-year programs.
  • You will collaborate with the UK Sector Lead for TMT and the Global Lead Partner, supporting account strategy development and opportunity optimization.
  • You will lead relationship strategies, develop client relationships, and identify gaps and targets to build relationships.
  • You will hold senior procurement relationships, lead negotiations, and support fee and T&Cs agreements.
  • You will understand client priorities, sector trends, and drive strategic opportunities, supporting proposal development.
  • You will articulate KPMG’s main offerings, emphasizing the 'why KPMG' and 'why now' aspects.
  • You will work with the CLP to set account strategies and develop market awareness for KPMG solutions.
  • You will foster collaboration across services and member firms, support sales and marketing activities, and share best practices.
  • You will be a sales leader, coaching colleagues to enhance their sales skills.

Client relationships:

  • Spend time at client sites or in meetings, virtually or in person.
  • Gather and share insights on client issues, expand points of contact, and develop relationship maps.
  • Lead development of new relationships, introduce specialists, and build Board and ExCo relationships.
  • Coordinate client events, measure ROI, and act as a role model for business development.
  • Identify white space, develop plans, and increase sales conversions.
  • Ensure sales activities align with account plans and support propositions.
  • Act as a focal point for selling new propositions, adding value through cross-functional solutions.
  • Maintain opportunity management systems and coach teams to improve win rates.
