An opportunity for a Business Development Director to work in the Technology, Media & Telecommunications sector to lead and grow a portfolio.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Drive one major TMT business, alongside other accounts, to accelerate growth through creating and building relationships, originating and qualifying opportunities, and winning profitable revenue from all non-audit service lines across KPMG.
- Develop your own network and relationships at the client to originate opportunities and develop cross-service line solutions for multi-year programs.
- Work closely with the UK Sector Lead for TMT and the Global Lead Partner on your accounts, supporting account strategy development and opportunity optimization.
- Lead on relationship strategy across your clients, developing relationships, mapping key contacts, and building strategies to strengthen them.
- Hold senior-level procurement relationships, lead negotiations, and support project teams in fee and T&C agreements.
- Understand client priorities and sector trends to identify strategic opportunities and support proposal development.
- Articulate KPMG’s main advisory offerings and the value proposition effectively.
- Collaborate with the CLP in setting account strategy and driving client service teams.
- Build market awareness for KPMG solutions through client and market activity.
- Drive collaboration across KPMG service offerings and member firms to originate and respond to opportunities.
- Support sales and marketing activities tailored to clients and events.
- Bring innovative ideas to the account and sector, sharing best practices and intelligence.
- Act as a sales leader, coaching colleagues to enhance their sales skills and benefit from opportunities.
Client relationships:
- Spend time at client sites and in meetings, both in person and virtually.
- Gather information on client issues and share insights within the sector.
- Expand points of contact, create and execute relationship plans.
- Lead relationship development efforts, introducing specialists to win work.
- Build relationships with senior management and support strategic client engagement.
- Coordinate client relationship events and measure ROI.
- Model best practices in sales and leverage KPMG sales support.
- Address current issues with timely solutions and propositions.
- Identify white space and develop targeted plans.
- Increase sales conversion through rigorous processes and negotiations.
- Ensure activities align with account plans and client service standards.
- Drive new propositions and cross-functional solutions.
- Maintain up-to-date sales pipeline management systems.
- Coach teams to improve win rates and profitability.

- Performance metrics include net sales, pipeline, new relationships, and client feedback.

Skills:
- Experience in TMT sector or selling to TMT businesses.
- Proven sales or client-facing professional experience with sales techniques.

- Confidence in engaging with senior clients and groups.
- Ability to learn and understand services and content across the firm.
