Job Description:

I am currently looking for a Business Development Director for a global full-service clinical Contract Research Organization with a strong reputation, stable client base, and consistent growth. This newly created role offers the opportunity to work with a high-performance international team in a remote, work-from-home setting, focusing on the UK and Western European markets.

The successful candidate will be responsible for securing new business and managing accounts within pharma, biotechnology, and medical device sectors across various therapeutic areas, including oncology, CNS, renal, and rare diseases. A hunter mentality, a strong network, and a proven sales track record in this region are essential.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Achieving sales and business development targets
  • Developing and implementing targeted business strategies
  • Prospecting to build a sales pipeline and generate RFPs
  • Using Salesforce to track client interactions and opportunities
  • Leading the sales process and proposal development
  • Redefining profitable market niches based on evidence
  • Collaborating with marketing to support business development
  • Contributing to sales targets and strategies with leadership
  • Supporting pre-sales activities and resource allocation
  • Engaging with agents, consultants, and industry events to generate opportunities
