Find, qualify and win project, design and information management commissions for us across the UK, Middle East and Africa.

About JC Virtual PMs

JC Virtual PMs (JC.VPMS LTD) is a UK-based virtual consultancy delivering project management, design management, BIM, information management and document control. We work with SMEs and other clients across the UK, Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia, bringing joined-up project, design and information management to projects that need more than a freelancer but less than a large consultancy. We are remote-first and growing.

About the role

You will help us grow by finding the right opportunities and turning them into winning bids. Working with the directors and reporting to the Managing Director, you will track tenders and frameworks, qualify opportunities, and lead the preparation of high-quality proposals and presentations. This is an associate role on a flexible basis, suited to an experienced bid or business development professional in the built environment.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and track opportunities across tender portals, frameworks and direct client relationships
• Qualify opportunities with the directors through a clear bid/no-bid process
• Plan and lead bid responses, including quality questions, CVs, case studies and pricing inputs
• Prepare expressions of interest, capability statements and interview presentations
• Build and maintain client relationships and keep our CRM up to date
• Report on pipeline, win rates and lessons learned

What we’re looking for

Essential

• Around 5 years’ business development or bid management in construction, engineering or built-environment consultancy
• A track record of winning public or private sector work
• Excellent writing and editing skills for quality submissions
• Right to work in the country where you will be based

Desirable

• Experience with UK public procurement and frameworks (including the Procurement Act 2023 regime)
• Middle East or African markets
• Confident building relationships at director level
• Comfortable working with a CRM and tender portals
• APMP certification

How we work

• Remote-first: you work from your home base, with occasional client meetings or site visits when a project needs them.
• Our clients and teams span the UK, Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia, so we agree working hours that overlap with each project’s time zones.
• We work in Microsoft 365 (Teams, SharePoint and Outlook) and our own project controls and HR platforms for timesheets, reporting, leave and expenses.
• This role is offered as an associate on a day rate, with flexible days that follow the work.
• We resource against confirmed client commissions, so start dates follow project mobilisation. We will be open about timing from our first conversation.
