Job summary

A financial services research agency based in the UK is seeking an eager Sales Professional to grow their sales function and establish new client relationships. The successful candidate will develop knowledge of the Intermediary sector and utilize sales tactics to enhance productivity. A degree is preferred but not essential, with strong knowledge in financial services and experience with CRM systems like Hubspot required. This role offers a hybrid working model with the possibility of working from various offices.

We meet with hundreds of fund managers each year, selecting only the strongest funds for our ratings, and we manage a range of Model Portfolio Solutions (MPS) designed to deliver long‑term value for advisers and their clients.

What's the purpose of your role

RSMR is looking to grow the sales function and looking to focus on new client relationships.

Develop and maintain an in-depth knowledge of the Intermediary sector of the UK financial services industry and of the opportunities, challenges and needs of Advisers and Investment managers.

Build detailed knowledge of RSMR's products and services and how they can deliver high levels of value to prospects.

Understand the competitive landscape in which RSMR operates.

Determine and utilise appropriate sales tactics to ensure that key metrics are hit (in terms of identifying leads, qualified meetings, pipeline) and conversion targets are met.

Plan strategy for multi-channel outreach (mix of calls, emails and LinkedIn) to prospects.

For each lead identified :

  • Develop a clear understanding of the customer’s needs.
  • Promote appropriate products and services to meet those needs.
Complete all sales administration activities, including :
  • Setting up and updating customer records in CRM.
  • Diarising and logging all customer‑related activity.
What you'll need to succeed
  • Degree level preferred, not essential
  • Knowledge and / or interest in financial services sector is essential.
  • Experience using and accurately maintaining a CRM. We use Hubspot.
  • Flexible and positive approach to change
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Some experience and aptitude for selling, ideally in a telephone based role
  • Self‑starter and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment
  • Hard working, energetic and willing to learn
Location

This is a home‑based role but if you like working from the office from time to time, then you can base yourself from any of our offices (Silsden, Huddersfield, Manchester, Derby, Haddenham, London).
