Eseye is seeking a highly analytical Business Data Analyst to transform data into actionable insights and business value across multiple teams. You will develop data-driven solutions, improve processes and support strategic initiatives driving growth.

You will work with AWS and BI/ETL tools, collaborating with Engineering and Product to deliver valuable projects while translating business needs into technical solutions. Hybrid working is available.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills, attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Experience working in agile environments/teams using SCRUM framework
• Willing to take on data transformation, data warehousing, BI, MI, AI, and machine learning tasks
• Willing to take and pass AWS certifications as necessary for the role
• Intermediate SQL/T-SQL query writing skills and understanding of ETL
• Experience with data warehouse and data lakes, AWs tooling for data shaping

Responsibilities

• Find gaps in process flows and build new flows for key projects.
• Investigate corporate data requirements.
• Document data requirements per standards to provide insight.
• Implement data flows to connect operational systems, analytics and BI.
• Ensure users understand data structures and prompt query resolution.

Eseye is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Business Data Analyst to help transform data into actionable insights and business value. Working across multiple teams, you'll develop innovative data-driven solutions, improve business processes and support key strategic initiatives that drive the continued growth of our organisation.

The Business Data Analyst possesses strong data and analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and a methodical and process-led approach to their work.

The Business Data Analyst works with multiple stakeholders, teams and individually, to develop, test, and maintain data-driven solutions to business challenges. They leverage AWS and other applications for analytics, BI, ETL, formatting, transformations and other data-oriented solutions.

They work collaboratively with the Engineering and product teams to support the delivery of effective and valuable projects in the organisation.

Role Responsibilities

• Finding gaps in process flows and building new flows to facilitate the delivery of projects key to the business.
• Managing the investigation of corporate data requirements.
• Documenting data requirements according to the required standards, utilising the prescribed methods and tools to provide insight.
• Implementing data flows to connect operational systems, data for analytics, and BI systems.
• Ensuring that those using data structures and associated components have a good understanding and that any queries are dealt with promptly and efficiently.
• Understanding business requirements and translating them into a technical solution.
• Other ad hoc reasonable and related tasks as required by the Lead Business Analyst.

• Strong SQL, T-SQL and query writing skills to intermediate level
• Understanding of ETL and data transformations
• Experience in using GIT & Jira tools
• Experience in, or understanding of data warehouse and data lakes
• Appreciation of AWS tooling and applications for managing and shaping data
• Ability to work as part of a team or individually to deliver assigned tasks and stories as defined by engineering management.
