Role Description: Our client, one of the UK's top retailers, is seeking a highly capable Project Manager to join on an initial 6-month contract basis. The ideal candidate will have broad experience, particularly in international sourcing, with a strong understanding of international and Asian markets.

Key Accountabilities:

  1. Ensuring the workstream is well-prepared for success.
  2. Project managing and supporting the business lead in the UK, as well as leaders in Asia and the wider delivery team.
  3. Managing project risks, issues, and dependencies effectively.
  4. Providing regular status updates in line with the Value Stream governance model.
  5. Overseeing project finances and ensuring they are accurately reflected in the financial system.
  6. Managing the delivery of multiple workstreams, focusing on operating model change, including supporting the rollout of tools for assortment renegotiation/tendering, training, and capability building.
  7. Comprehensive risk and issue management.
  8. Developing and maintaining an end-to-end plan for the workstream delivery.

Key Skills and Experience:

  • Experience managing external project managers.
  • Proven ability to manage change initiatives across different countries, especially in Asia.
  • Background in delivering change within sourcing operations, with familiarity in Buying, Merchandising, Design, and general merchandise advantageous.
  • Experience in organizational change across various employment law jurisdictions is beneficial.
