Cathcart Technology is looking for a Business Central Consultant to join a Microsoft technology consultancy based in Gateshead with hybrid working. You will take ownership of customer support across Dynamics 365 BC and wider MS business apps, investigating issues and guiding users on business processes.

The role is primarily remote with occasional travel to customer sites, offering a salary up to 55,000 (flex) plus benefits and opportunities to progress into Senior/Team Lead roles.

Qualifikationen

A Business Central Functional Consultant is required to join an established Microsoft technology consultancy based in Gateshead (hybrid).

This is a customer-facing role combining functional support, problem-solving and business process knowledge. You'll work directly with customers to resolve issues, improve how they use their systems and make sure they’re getting the most from their Microsoft solutions.

The role is predominantly remote, with occasional travel to customer sites when required.

The Organisation

You’ll be joining a Microsoft technology consultancy who specialise in business applications and digital solutions to customers across a range of industries in the UK.

The business works across the Microsoft Dynamics 365 ecosystem, including Business Central, Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement and the Power Platform. With a focus on building long-term customer relationships, the team supports clients throughout the lifecycle of their solutions, from implementation through to ongoing support and optimisation.

The Role

You’ll take ownership of customer support across Dynamics 365 Business Central and the wider Microsoft business applications suite. Working primarily through Teams, you’ll investigate issues, advise users on business processes and ensure queries are resolved efficiently.

You’ll also manage the service desk, coordinate escalations and work closely with the wider consultancy and project teams. There’s scope to get involved in additional project work, including supporting implementation handovers and helping customers make better use of their systems.

What They’re Looking For

You’ll ideally have a background as a BC Functional Consultant, alongside a good understanding of finance and wider business processes.

The key skills and experience they’re looking for include:

• Experience as a BC Functional Consultant
• A strong understanding of accounting and financial processes
• Confidence supporting, advising and training end users across different levels of an organisation
• Knowledge of management reporting and typical business reporting requirements
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate issues and take ownership through to resolution.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with other accounting or ERP systems, such as Sage 50, Sage 200, Xero or QuickBooks.

It would also be beneficial if you have experience with:

• Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement applications, including Sales, Customer Service, Customer Insights or Field Service.
• Microsoft Power Platform, particularly Power Automate.
• Business Central add-ons such as Jet Reports, Zetadocs or Tasklet Mobile WMS.

The Offer

You’ll receive a salary of up to 55,000 (possible flex) + benefits and hybrid working in the Gateshead office.

This is a great opportunity for a Business Central Consultant who enjoys working directly with customers and wants a varied role combining functional support, problem-solving and exposure to wider Microsoft technologies.

You’ll work with a range of businesses, develop your knowledge across the Dynamics 365 ecosystem and have the opportunity to contribute to both ongoing customer support and project delivery.

The team is currently small with big plans to grow over next 12 months so there is genuine opportunity to progress into a Senior or Team Lead position
