Job Overview

Within the Compliance and Assurance team, you will be managing people and delivery as part of a wide programme of works of regulatory reporting assurance, providing oversight and ensuring Southern Water meets its non-financial obligations and Business Plan priorities.

As one of four collaborating Managers, you will share the lead, planning and delivery of non-financial programmes of assurance, utilising internal and external resources.

  • Lead the delivery of part of the non-financial assurance programme. This work will include key areas of work including regulatory delivery plans. This to include managing the delivery supported by both internal and externally sourced resources.
  • Lead the definition and implementation of strategy, policy, key processes, procedures and controls in relation to regulatory assurance taking account of risk and in collaboration with other internal governance teams such as Internal Audit and Risk and Control.
  • Act as the interface for external assurers in relation to regulatory delivery plans, including supporting the procurement process, planning and defining the scope of external audits, facilitating the audit process, ensuring quality outputs and, liaising with internal teams to drive appropriate management action in response.
  • Manage the team of Compliance and Assurance partners to support internal delivery of the regulatory assurance programme.

About You

  • You will have a strong monitoring, control and process improvement focus, to further develop our modern compliance framework, ethical business practice and assurance of regulatory performance reporting.
  • Knowledge of and experience in developing, implementing and driving adoption of systematic ways of working, such as process management, ISO management system standards, GRC systems etc.
  • Relevant degree / professional qualifications and or demonstrable relevant experience in a process, system, risk and controls role and sector experience (desirable).
  • Able to apply appropriate statistical and analytical tools to gain insights and communicate complex findings in a clear and concise manner.
  • Understanding and experience of working in a risk and assurance management framework.
  • Previous experience of leading and developing a team.

Package

This role will be full time Monday to Friday with a hybrid approach to working between our Durrington office and home. We are offering a salary of between £50-55,000 per annum depending on skills and experience as well as other benefits including:
