Job Description:

We are partnering with a market-leading reinsurer to recruit a Business Architect on a permanent basis. Reporting to the Lead Business Architect, the successful candidate will support the development of a business architecture strategy, working with senior stakeholders to shape change initiatives, define target operating models, and enhance business capabilities across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Document all business processes in line with company methodology, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
• Identify and prioritize opportunities for digitalization, automation, or waste reduction in front-office processes based on impact and effort.
• Lead and facilitate cross-departmental process improvement initiatives, focusing on automation, risk reduction, and task alignment.
• Gather and manage business requirements for digital solutions, collaborating with IT to drive development, testing, and deployment.
• Map and maintain an up-to-date process landscape, identifying areas for automation and continuous improvement.
• Assess and report on process control effectiveness, implementing mechanisms to monitor process risk and agree on action plans.
• Manage process improvement projects with internal teams and outsourced partners, ensuring clear documentation and communication.
• Support good conduct across the business, promoting outcomes that deliver value for customers and policyholders.

Ideal Candidate:

• Proven experience influencing Target Operating Model design at a senior level within complex, regulated insurance environments (preferably specialty lines).
• Strong strategic thinker with the ability to balance long-term vision with detailed design decisions.
• Skilled in simplifying complex problems and providing clarity across stakeholders.
• Proficient in modeling business processes using various tools and techniques.
