North Yorkshire Council is seeking a Business Architect to support the development and evolution of the Council's business architecture capability. You will analyse business strategy and develop artefacts to guide organisational change, collaborating with multiple services and directorates.

Following the creation of North Yorkshire Council as a single unitary authority, we continue to transform services, modernise processes and deliver organisational change at scale. The Enterprise Architecture team sits at the heart of this transformation, helping the Council align strategy, business change and technology investment to achieve better outcomes.
We are currently looking to recruit a Business Architect to support the development and evolution of the Council's business architecture capability.
As a Business Architect, you will be responsible for analysing business strategy, identifying future capability requirements and developing business architecture artefacts that provide clear direction for organisational change. You will work across services and directorates to understand business needs, support the development of strategic objectives and ensure that investment decisions align with the Council's long-term priorities.
You will work closely with Enterprise Architects, Solution Architects, Technical Architects, Business Change Analysts and senior stakeholders to develop business capability models, target operating models and strategic roadmaps. The role will involve leading architecture work packages, supporting transformation programmes and providing expert business architecture advice across a diverse portfolio of projects and initiatives.
You will also play an important role in developing and embedding business architecture governance, standards and best practice, whilst mentoring colleagues and supporting the growth of architectural capability across Technology Services.
