Job summary

North Yorkshire Council is seeking a Business Architect to support the development and evolution of the Council's business architecture capability. You will analyse business strategy and develop artefacts to guide organisational change, collaborating with multiple services and directorates.

You will work with Enterprise, Solution, and Tech Architects to create capability models and roadmaps, lead work packages, mentor colleagues, and help embed governance and best practice across Technology

Qualifications

  • In-depth understanding of business architecture, enterprise architecture and organisational change gained through experience delivering strategic transformation initiatives.
  • Strong experience of business modelling techniques, including business capabilities, business processes and target operating models.
  • Knowledge of business and systems analysis methods and tools such as BPMN, LEAN and UML.
  • Experience of developing strategic roadmaps and business architecture deliverables that guide organisational change and investment decisions.
  • Experience of working with senior stakeholders across large and complex organisations to influence decision making and deliver business outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • The role will involve leading architecture work packages, supporting transformation programmes and providing expert business architecture advice across a diverse portfolio of projects and initiatives.
  • You will also play an important role in developing and embedding business architecture governance, standards and best practice, whilst mentoring colleagues and supporting the growth of architectural capability across Technology Services.

Job Summary
