Job summary

North Yorkshire Council is recruiting Business Analysts to join our Transformation service to identify, develop, and deliver positive change across council services. You will work with stakeholders to analyse problems, identify opportunities and deliver practical solutions that improve public services in North Yorkshire.

The role is hybrid, with home working and a minimum of two days per week in an office base at Northallerton, Harrogate, Scarborough or Selby.

• Work with a wide range of stakeholders across the Council to identify opportunities for change.
• Develop and present cases for change to senior management and Council partners.
• Manage and undertake a range of analysis activities to further define opportunities, benefits and action plans.
• Understand and represent the customer interests, requirements and perspectives throughout analysis work and project lifecycles.
• Review the impact and success of initiatives, to assess and quantify to what extent benefits have been realised.

Our Business Analysts work with a wide range of stakeholders to analyse problems, identify opportunities and deliver practical solutions. They solve problems, identify improvements and are passionate about making public services more effective and efficient.

The role is hybrid working with a combination of home working together with minimum 2 days per week in an office base at one of our local transformation hubs at Northallerton, Harrogate, Scarborough and Selby.

Within this role you will:

• Work with a wide range of stakeholders across the Council to identify opportunities for change.
• Develop and present cases for change to senior management and Council partners.
• Manage and undertake a range of analysis activities to further define opportunities, benefits and action plans.
• Understand and represent the customer interests, requirements and perspectives throughout analysis work and project lifecycles.
• Review the impact and success of initiatives, to assess and quantify to what extent benefits have been realised.
• Be part of a supportive and dedicated Business Analysis team who are committed to delivering positive change.
