Business Architect

We are currently looking for a Business Architect, based in London on a full-time basis, reporting to the Head of Change.

Responsibilities:

1. Work under the direction of the MRS-GM Lead Business Architect to develop a business architecture strategy supporting our growth plans and influencing the technology landscape.
2. Translate business strategy and outcomes, partnering with the Head of Change and senior stakeholders to ensure the operating model supports these strategies.
3. Collaborate across the business to assess capabilities and map out capability diagrams for required functions.
4. Maintain an overview of business operations to identify opportunities for evolution and best practice implementation.
5. Work with the Change team to scope and shape significant deliverables, applying strategic and enterprise principles.
6. Shape new change initiatives by defining business capability needs, benefits, and business cases.
7. Identify outcomes, targets, and measures for successful implementation of the target operating model.
8. Ensure traceability of Target Operating Models and Business Capability Models into Business Process Maps and Requirements documents.
9. Embed a Business Architecture framework to drive governance, design principles, and processes.
10. Conduct feasibility studies to support new underwriting products, business models, or technology platforms.
11. Promote good conduct to deliver optimal outcomes for customers and policyholders.

Knowledge and Skills

1. Experience in senior-level roles influencing Target Operating Model design.
2. Strategic thinker with a long-term perspective guiding design decisions.
3. Ability to switch between strategic overview and detailed work.
4. Capable of clarifying complexity and modeling business processes using various tools.
5. Extensive knowledge of the insurance market, preferably within specialty lines, navigating complex, regulated entities.
6. Effective team collaboration across diverse backgrounds, geographies, and skillsets.
