Job summary

Clarion Events is seeking a Senior Business Applications Manager who reports to the Director of Enterprise Applications. You will lead a portfolio of business applications, directing architecture, deployment, maintenance and enhancements across internal teams and vendors.

Responsibilities include owning incidents and release management, coordinating with business IT stakeholders to plan priorities, and ensuring solutions align with IT strategy, security, and governance.

  • Provide oversight in standards adherence through reviews of project work including detailed technical specifications and application code
  • Proven experience in managing relationships with vendors/consultants, IT teams and internal stakeholders
  • An interest in staying hands-on technical as well as wearing that team management hat
  • Responsible for directing and evaluating feasibility studies, project scoping and project planning for business application projects

The Opportunity:

This is a great opportunity for someone to come into Clarion at a senior position that reports to the Director of Enterprise Applications.

The Business Applications Manager is responsible for management and support of a portfolio of applications and technology solutions.

The Business Applications Manager has overall responsibility for the architecture, transition to support, maintenance, deployment, and enhancement of software applications. Business Applications Manager is responsible for planning and overseeing technical development being executed by both internal and vendor led teams - while working collaboratively with business units, internal teams; delivering technical solutions that meet goals and objectives. Business Application Manager will be the primary point of contact for internal business and vendor partners.

Key Responsibilities:

Knowledge, Skills & Behaviours:
  • Expertise in business process analysis, requirements gathering, solution design and development, vendor management, enterprise application support, and a strong business understanding

  • Experience working in an ERP or CRM environment. Workday, Salesforce experience a plus

  • Experience in a management or supervisory role on an application delivery team

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Established project management skills

  • Experience of working in Agile as well as Waterfall delivery environments.

  • A working knowledge of Cybersecurity processes and practices is essential
