Job summary

AJ Bell is seeking a proactive Business Analyst to join the Operational Change team in Manchester. You will deliver business analysis services to support growth and cost targets, modelling processes, data flows and requirements across projects.

The role requires 3–5 years BA experience, strong stakeholder skills, and a solid understanding of agile delivery and regulatory compliance. Hybrid working is offered with office-time for collaboration and workshops.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of BA experience in a professional setting.
• Possession of, or progress towards, a recognised Business Analysis qualification.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Experience of working in an Agile environment.
• Meticulous attention to detail.
• In-depth knowledge of industry standards, regulatory requirements, and compliance protocols.
• Proven ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team environment.
• Superior interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Exemplary organisational skills with a track record of meeting stringent deadlines.
• Demonstrated proactive approach and solution-oriented mindset.
• Proficient in Lean / Six Sigma methodologies and their practical application.

Responsibilities

• Work with colleagues and stakeholders to investigate and model business functions, processes, information flows and data structures.
• Gather, analyse and validate business requirements.
• Produce business analysis deliverables using relevant documentation styles and tools.
• Create high quality specifications.
• Facilitate stakeholder meetings and workshops, presenting findings and actions.
• Assist in defining user acceptance tests for new or improved business processes and IT systems.
• Analyse solutions by modelling processes, mapping data and performing gap, impact and risk analysis.
• Support internal development teams and external suppliers in change implementation.
• Identify areas where improvements in systems and processes will drive efficiency.
